Cape Blazer & Purple Hair

It summer time and to continue my wild hair color expedition, I chose to dye my hair purple. I was truly going for a really dark deep eggplant color however it did not turn out that dark but I still enjoy it. After 4 hair dyes I finally got a color I am satisfied with. And after so much working, a day to take to blog.

The staple items in our closet are always the ones that make the most simplest, comfortable, chic outfits.

I took my favorite pair of mom jeans, a basic black tank top, and a blazer and put it all together to compel this simple but chic outfit. This particular blazer is a cape blazer and was originally inspired by Kenya from Real Housewives of Atlanta. It does at a twist of sexy to this outfit. I then chose my open toe red heels with matching clutch and Coquettish accessory.

It is summertime so let them pedicured toes show. If I decide to wear something like this in the fall or another occasion I would definitely do a printed leopard heel or classic nude.

For me on a day off this is perfect. I was still able to make visits, run errands, and enjoy the bar scenery. Share with me your version of the classic blazer, jeans, and heels outfit. What do you think of the cape blazer and purple hair?

Lakeside View

Maxi Dress: H&M | Necklace: Coquettish | Shoes: Summer Favs | Lakeside View: Keer Lake

Sometimes we never really appreciate things till we can no longer enjoy them. As for me, this is definitely the case with me being in DC, coming from the country fields of Henderson, North Carolina. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to go home for about a week and I made sure that visiting the lake was on top of my bucket list.

It was such a casual day and I had such a great opportunity to go back to my favorite thinking spot of home which is without questions Keer Lake. Enjoying the warm breeze and watching the sunset was so inspiring for me to just get back on my "grind" when arriving back in DC.

My outfit was extremely simple but I just wanted to share with you guys my favorite place to vent. I am wearing a H&M long maxi dress that I got on sale, paired it with the chic and statement making piece from Coquettish, and my causal fav summer flats. I was so at peace and always go back to that mental spot when looking at these photos. What is your favorite spot to just go and clear your head? Are you a city girl but country girl at heart or the other way around?
