My Spring & Summer Go To Items

Handbag: Tory Burch | Nail Polish: Julep | Shorts: Thrifted (Distressed by Me) | Sandals: Jack Rogers  | Jewelry: Coquettish

Spring & Summer is like a combined season for me simply because I am so in love with the warm weather and breezy days. The best part of the season besides tans, cocktails, and beaches is the thrill I receive from going shopping for a new wardrobe. With only an introduction to the season I am already aware of my favorite go to items. Over this lovely weather and season I may do an updated post to see if these items change, but as for now its set in stone.

To begin, it is only right to have a handbag that screams SUMMER IS HERE!! Now this can vary with texture and/or color. I decided to go for a pop of pink to begin, but I plan on getting a straw material or jelly see through bag.

Next, maintaining a fresh mani and pedi is a must so having great nail polish always makes this part easy. I use Julep and take it to my local nail salon. Every now and then I slide off the boat and get a gel mani, but it is totally worth it.

What is fun in the sun without a classic pair of jean shorts? This is extremely fun because it combines several things I like to do. Usually I get high-waisted pants from the thrift store and turn them into shorts by cutting, scratching, and distressing. (look out for upcoming DIY post) Grabbing some fruity cocktails and friends turns this into a fun weekend event with little spending(which is always a plus since we still have so many more things on our summer bucket list to complete like shopping).

Reverting back to my favorite classic sandals, Jack Rogers Navajo in gold definitely makes a hit on the go to list. These shoes have been around since I was in middle school and they still make me happy with a nice sundress or pair of shorts.

Lastly, what is any outfit without a statement piece from Coquettish? Well for me only a bedtime or workout outfit. I am so excited to share with you all the new, color popping pieces Coquettish has to offer. Be sure to look out for constant promos all spring and summer. Starting your warm weather jewelry collection doesn't have to be hard when shopping with Coquettish.

DIY: Coquettish Jewelry Organization

What you will need:
Large Picture Frame (that corresponds with your room decor theme) | command hooks | 2 nails | Accessories via Coquettish

Necklace Organization is always a hard task for me being I own so many necklaces, but i think I finally figured out a better solution. I found an affordable and chic way to organize my favorite go to pieces I wear weekly.

Simply find a large picture frame that corresponds with your room theme. (Mine is currently black and white damask with accents of pink) Using the plastic or glass covering is not necessary and can be discarded. I decided to flip the back piece around to make it all black instead of white but that choice is completely up to you.

After prepping your picture frame to your desire, using the 2 nails hang your picture frame. Nails is necessary for this project. Double sided tape WILL NOT work. I am completely sure after several attempts.

Next, place the hooks on the back canvas of the frame. Depending on the amounts and types of jewelry you have will determine your placement. I wanted to get the most space out of the frame so I did it in a straight line leaving just enough space so the necklaces wouldn't touch. However, if your collection is smaller feel free to add some shape to this by mixing the hooks around.

Lastly, hang your necklaces up to give the finishing touches of color and texture to your masterpiece. Oh wait, you realized your jewelry collection isn't up to par as you would like or you are missing some spring pieces. No worries guys. Simply go to www.shopcoquettish.com order some jewelry and enjoy 15% off using special promo code ORG913.

InStyle Inspired, Egyptian Princess

2piece Outfit: Similar Here | Clutch: TJMaxx | Necklace: Coquettish

For some reason I have been extremely obsessed with this shade of blue lately. Inspired by the April 2014 InStyle Magazine piece on one color head to toe I was super anxious to give it a try.

When I first laid eyes on this outfit during my late night hours of online shopping, I was super excited to add this royal/cobalt blue to my closet. I knew I would have to find the perfect accessory to compliment and make this outfit pop. I wanted to go for an Egyptian look and I think I pulled it off. With the vibrant shade of blue I knew trying out my new spring lipstick colors (below in a previous post) would allocate the perfect opportunity.

Being a jewelry boutique owner, I am constantly in search of the latest pieces and when I laid eyes on this piece it screamed Coquettish. This is one of my favorite pieces by from Coquettish right now because it is extremely unique. I decided to name this one CrazySexyCool, a TLC inspired name. I feel this piece states just that; its crazy with the multiple links, sexy because you can dress it up, and cool because where else have you seem something like this. Bohemian Styled, Free Flowing Pants Overload

Pants: Thrifted | Tank Top: JCPenney | Fringe Vest: JCPenney | Shoes: Old Summer Favs | All Jewelry: Coquettish | Sunglasses: Versace | Clutch: TJMaxx

82 degree weather today....SCORE! I am so in love with warm weather and although the forecast clearly said 82 degrees it still caught me off guard today.  Now that school is out and my internship hasn't started, I have free time before work to enjoy the company of friends and I took advantage of it today.

This Bohemian look today was inspired mainly by another addition of causal free flowing pants to my closet. Thrifting is usually apart of my weekly to do list and I found this awesome comfy pants at the thrift store. Each season I have a section of my closet that is on overload because I am so in love with whatever style it is. Last winter it was velvet and I can tell this spring it is free flowing pants ( as I like to call them).

As soon as I spotted these pants in the thrift store I knew I would keep it simple with a tank top and pair it with my favorite necklace Brenda via Coquettish and some sandals. After organizing my closet and seeing this vest that I only wore once in Puerto Rico, I thought it would be perfect to add the finishing touches to this Bohemian look.

Now that warm weather is here I am so excited to shop, take photos, eat, and shop even more. What is your favorite spring item that is on overload in your closet?

Casual Day of Practice

Top: H&M | Pants: Thrifted | Shoes: Marshalls | Necklace: Coquettish | Watch: Michael Kors | Ring: My Diamond Stash | Nail Polish: Julep

After acing an exam on the last day of class for the school year and having the day off, I thought it would be perfect to not only go thrifting, but also take a few photos.

I am so new to blogging and fashion photography, I felt that practicing my "face" and "glam shots" is necessary. I must admit I am little camera shy especially when people are watching. I am not one that is very photogenic and I have come to realize accidental shots are always the best for me. Me naturally being silly, goofy, happy, and even a little sexy (lol) makes the best photos, or at least I think so.

It was such a casual day and I enjoyed it with this casual outfit. I am so excited to share with you guys my lovely thrifted finds I came across so stayed tuned to see future thrifted outfit post and my secrets to thrifting.
